The Posijet calibrates by activity measurement in real time, dilutes, and then injects a patient with an FDG solution from the shielded container as shipped from the production site.
The touch screen control panel is used to measure activity, view the FDG preparation and injection phases in real time. The entire mobile unit is shielded to ensure operator protection for the whole day.
The 2007 model recently toured the UK and was featured in the April issue of Rad Magazine. “Many of the differences between the 2007 model and 2009 model are thanks to the feedback from the people that saw the product on the tour,” says Jeevan Virk, Sales and Product Manager for Imaging Equipment distributors of the Posijet.
The improvements in the new model include a clear front lead glass screen for greater visibility, a longer battery life and a fixed side arm for the touch screen. Most importantly the Posijet has many improved software features, one of which allows patient details to be adjusted and entered on the system itself.
Imaging Equipment are exhibiting at BNMS this month in Liverpool and Lemer Pax will be showcasing Posijet and the rest of the Nuclear Medicine range at the forthcoming EANM in Munich next month. The next five Posijets go into production later this year. Posted on 04 Sep 2008
