MapCHECK™ has been the most utilised 2D array for IMRT plan verification for some time, with over 1100 installations and many papers written about it use.
As confidence builds in IMRT practice more centres are planning complex treatment plans using the methodology to reduce the effects to OAR. MapCHECK™ with its close resolution 10 x 10 central field is perfect for treatment areas such as Prostate and with the concatenate facility easily capable of larger areas of interest. However with time constraints playing a major role a larger array capable of performing agreement QA of field sizes such as head and neck has become essential. Sun Nuclear and Imaging Equipment Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of MapCHECK2.With a field size of 32 x 26 cm and 1536 diode detectors this array addresses all issues of treatment plan size and resolution.
MapCHECK2 is a real time absolute dose device utilising the same ultra reliable diodes as the existing array and offering all of the current software features. The advanced software interfaces with all treatment planning systems for planned v measured comparison using absolute dose/relative dose/DTA and gamma analysis options. Data is displayed in a concise GUI with histogram and profile data displayed as direct relationship to the dose distribution fields. Other standard features include film and EBT analysis, beam QA and advanced MLC QA.
DICOM RT structure import now comes as standard, this provides a vital tool to overlay OAR data to IMRT plans so as dose can be controlled accurately.
The software also has a powerful physics engine to drive the add in functionality for EPIDose,MapCALC,and the MOTIONSIM 4D gating. MapCHECK will from an integral part of the ATLAS QA system. Posted on 11 Mar 2008
