The XPERT 40 will be used to image breast biopsy cores and surgical specimens. Jane Harris, Advanced Practitioner of Breast Interventional Procedures at Peterborough Hospital explained that she chose the Kubtec XPERT 40 because of “the great quality of the digital image and the ease of use of the software”
The XPERT 40 is a self-contained, shielded cabinet X-ray system designed to meet imaging requirements for surgically excised and needle core biopsies. This equipment provides high resolution, high contrast, X-ray images.
With its small focal spot x-ray source and adjustable sample positioning capability, the XPERT 40 provides variable magnification for increased visibility and sharpness of detail for lesions and abnormalities in biopsies.
The XPERT 40 is easy to operate. Its use not only eliminates scheduling conflicts in Mammography but also reduces time in Surgery for surgically excised biopsies. It is also very useful in Pathology or in the Laboratory for inspection of tissue specimens or small animals in vivo.
Its compact size, low weight, and standard AC power requirement allow it to be conveniently located and safely operated in most environments Posted on 13 Dec 2006
