Latest News › Posijet Mobile Shielded Unit - An Integrated FDG Dispensing and Infusion System:

Lemer Pax has over 50 years experience of producing high quality radiation shielding products for both the nuclear and medical industry.  Lemer Pax clients can rely on their technical expertise to ensure that all products are designed and constructed to the highest standards required for medical and pharmaceutical use. 

The Posijet calibrates by activity measurement, dilutes, and then injects a patient with a FDG solution from the shielded container as shipped from the production site, which respects operator radiation protection legislation, as well as the pharmaceutical aspect of the injection.

The Posijet is marketed in the UK by Imaging Equipment Ltd.

The Posijet is contained in a mobile shielding unit composing of;

  • An ACAD dose calibrator that measures activity in real time
  • An automatic or manual remote-controlled injection system
  • An interactive control screen
  • A shielded cabinet with a door on the front that enhances the shielding of the FDG container shipped from the production site.  It is equipped with a container elevator
  • A sterile injection kit (disposable) composed of tubes and connections between FDG source, the measurement system and the patient.

  • Eliminates requirement for operator to handle radio acitive dose
  • Internal rechargeable power supply

  • Sterile injection process, with easily disposable tubing
  • Large interactive touch screen
  • Integrated record keeping, with remote download capability

The entire mobile unit is sheided to ensure operator protection during the preparation  phase.

Easy to Use:

The mobile unit is on wheels for easy transfer from the hot lab to the injection site.  Power provided on board rechargeable batteries. with remaining battery charge shown.
