Product Updates

SUN NUCLEAR 6.0 8/6/11

SOFTWARE NAME - SNC PATIENT

Starting with Version 6.0, the software name has been changed from "MapCHECK" to "SNC Patient".

LOCATION OF PROGRAM FILES

The program file directory for SNC Patient sofware is C:\SNC\SNC Patient. Customers who upgrade to SNC Patient V6.0 should note that existing data is not touched during the upgrade. When the upgrade is complete, it is recommended to copy all existing data from the old program directory (C:SNC\MapCHECK) to the new program directory.

LICENSING

A new licensing process has been implemented for SNC Patient software version 6.0 or higher.

MapCALC

A software license is no longer required to sue the MapCALC physics modeling software.

Planar Dose with Different Grid Resolutions

The SNC Patient software now supports different grid sizes for X and Y when importing a TPS dose for planar data comparison

Patient Plan

The Patient Plan drop-down list in the toolbar now expands to fit the size of the longest entry. The patient name is not truncated.

Closing SNC Patient Software Closes all Windows

When SNC Patient software is closed, all other windows that were opened from the SNC Patient software (including the Advanced Film Functions window) are automatically closed.

DICOM File Import

When a DICOM RT Image file is imported into the File Manager, a prefix is no longer added and the file extension is no longer changed to .dcm

Enhanced 2D Calc Shift

The 2D Calc Shift feature has been improved

Electronic Signature

A new option, "Signature Image File" has been added to the Program Preferences. This option adds a signature image file to a printed report.

TomoTherapy DQA Import

SNC Patient Software now supports DICOM RT Dose and RT Plan files that are created on a TomoThearpy system with version 4.0.3 software or higher.

Split composite into single beams

Using the SNC Patient software, ArcCHECK or MapCHECK 2 IMRT delivery can be split into multiple files such that a new beam file is created each time the beam-off duration exceeds a user-specified minimum value. The movie file contains updates every 50ms as well as information about beam-on and beam-off. Users can specify how the software splits the beans by setting a minimum time between beams. For example, if the minimum time between beams is set to 10 seconds, this means that when there is at least 10 seconds of beam off data, a new delivery was started. A setting in the 'Split Composite Into Single Beams' dialog box offers an option to integrate all beams at the same gantry angle. This only applies to ArcCHECK movie files since ArcCHECK is capable of measuring gantry angles.

Virtual Inclinometer

The Virtual Inclinometer feature provides the ability to determine the angle of incidence to the ArcCHECK and view the gantry angle determined by the measured data (stationary or moving gantry). In the 'Virtual Inclinometer - 'Gantry Angle' screen, the angle information is displayed in a graph as a function of time in IEC coordinates; by right-clicking a point on the graph, a visual representation of the gantry angle for the update appears to the left of the graph. The data may be exported to a text file for further analysis.

Control Point Analysis

The Control Point Analysis tool provides the ability to analyse dose delivery in the full arc, in sub arcs defined by number of control points per arc, in sub arcs defined by start and end angle, or per control point.

SUN NUCLEAR IVD SOLUTIONS SOFTWARE VERSION 3.02.00 UPDATE - 10/2/10

The software upgrade will bring significant improvements in flexibility, time saving and ease of use.

If you need any help with the download please do not hesitate to contact us.

The new IVD Solutions software version 3.02.00 has been released and it is available on the IVD Solutions CD and the website. Below are all the changes implemented in this release.

Version 3.02.00

New Features:

1) Create and modify your own correction factors in addition to using the default factors provided.

2) Print a single measurement or a patient measurement to a PDF file.

3) Import patient data exported by RadCalc in a RTF file format.

4) Logged in user is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

5) Database version is displayed at the bottom of the screen.

6) Correction factors set can be copied to other diodes.

7) Two alarm levels, one to alert physics of deviation, one to alert therapists of harm.

8) Expected dose information can be added after measurement.

9) Improved main screen and tab layout.

10) New 'thickness' default correction factor.

11) Interface to ARIA through RVP software to export an ARIA readable XML format file.

12) Export an ARIA readable XML format file on demand without using the ARIA/RVP interface.

13) Electronic sign off of patient measurement results by fraction.

14) Average of two diode measurements can now be added to the patient printout.

15) Added patient ID to the patient name on the patient dose collection screen.

16) Measured by and measured time/date added to the diode display in the Patient Plans tab on the field screen.

Fixed Defect:

1) Changes to a pod number were not registering in the database.

2) When clicking on an incomplete field, an access violation was occurring.

3) A completed patient with deleted fields was still showing as 'incomplete' after all fields were measured.

4) The scrollbar was causing an 'index out of range' error when using greater than 4 pods.

5) When adding a patient, if the ID was entered before the patient name, the “patient ID number already used” message appeared spuriously.

6) When entering a diode serial number, the software would allow entry of all the digits.

7) Temperature compensation values could be entered for positive diodes which cannot be compensated.

8) Clicking on the error column and then clicking on the setup button caused the interface to crash.

9) Background corrected counts were not being displayed in the calibration screen.

SUN NUCLEAR MAPCHECK SOFTWARE VERSION 5.1.3 - 7/7/10

We are pleased to inform you that version 5.1.3 of the Mapcheck software has been released. The software is available on the Sun Nuclear Corporation website for download and for shipping with the product on CD. Please visit the Sun Nuclear website and download the software at your convenience.

Enhancements and Corrections:

- In the previous version of the MapCHECK software a feature was introduced where only the "beam on" updates were used in the saved integrated measurement. Dose and Array calibration routines now use "beam on" on updates as well

- In the MapCHECK software the threshold for determining whether the beam was on or off was set too high. As a result, some of the updates were being discarded although the beam was on. This has been corrected.

- The routine which extracts dose values at ArcCHECK diode locations from the RT Dose file could have aliasing effects if the dose grid in the original plan was set to non-integer multiple of 1mm. This has been corrected.
