PROFILER 2 Hardware
PROFILER 2 uses 139 detectors which have the highest available sensitivity and lowest available volume of any dosimetric measurement system. Measuring only 0.64mm², PROFILER 2 detectors are an amazing 0.00019cm³ ensuring accurate beam measurements under all conditions. The Y-axis consists of 83 detectors with 4mm spacing for a maximum field size of 30cm at 100cm SSD. The X-axis consists of 57 detectors with 4mm spacing for a maximum field size of 20cm at 100cm SSD. If neccessary larger field sizes are possible by taking concatenated measurements at 100cm SSD, or by taking a single measurement at a shorter SSD.
Fast Setup
Whereas a water tank may take hours to setup for monthly or yearly flatness and symmetry checks, PROFILER 2 sets up in just minutes. The detector array is imbedded beneath 1.0cm of Virtual Water™. Additional Virtual Water is included and may be added. PROFILER 2 is selfcontained with only a single cable to connect from the PROFILER 2 to a computer with both USB and 9-pin Serial options. If desired, the Isocentric Mounting Fixture (IMF) can be used to easily slide the PROFILER 2 into the LINAC accessory tray holder. The IMF holds the PROFILER 2 at 100cm SDD and accommodates enough buildup to measure at 10cm depth. Rotational measurements are possible at any gantry angle while keeping PROFILER 2 securely fixed at isocenter. This is a fast and precise routine for MLC, Collimator, and Gantry shift effects.
